The World Bank's chief financial officer visited the SUGEC Angola water supply project



In December 6th, the World Bank treasurer director, director of the Angola national Hydropower Energy Bureau of Angola, vice governor of Willard province and director of hydropower energy secretary and his party to inspect and survey the SEGEC of Lubango water supply network design and construction project site . Local residents spontaneously composed a welcome team, and with the traditional African ebullience singing, dancing, very traditional way to welcome the arrival of the guests. The project is the World Bank loan project, started in June of 2015, the duration is 30 months, the length of the pipe network of 60 kilometers. The construction of the new pipe network will solve the problem of water consumption of more than four thousand and six hundred local residents, improve water supply coverage, increase water pressure and water containment, significantly improve water quality. The inspection team firstly heard the project report given by the person who is in charge of the project to the general situation, detailedly understood the project progress, project quality, project construction difficulty, etc., and to the local residents home, personally experience water supply facilities. The inspection team also went to the main pipelines, house branch, household water meter installation and other construction site were visited, the project team is fully affirmed, they gave high evaluations for employees' hard working, and expressed the hope that long-term cooperation and common development which will contribute to Angola. SUGEC project team said it would do a good job in every process, complete high-quality construction tasks, so that more local residents will drink safe water as soon as possible.
