Deepening engagement with the Belt and Road Initiative, the platform-enabled overseas expansion continues to gain traction. SUGEC has been steadily strengthening the overseas collaborative platform for units under the Bureau, integrating resources within the system and taking the lead in partnering with Huajian Company to explore the African market. Recent successes include the successful completion of the piling project for the Manica Cement Plant in Mozambique and the smooth commencement of the piling project for the Cumarela Oil Depot. The seamless transition from completion to commencement highlights the effectiveness of the overseas platform in coordinated operations and market development.

On May 15, the piling project for the Nampula Power Plant of the Manica Cement Plant in Mozambique, coordinated by SUGEC and jointly executed with Huajian, was successfully completed. As a core supporting power facility for the cement plant, the project was subject to high standards, a tight schedule, and complex construction conditions. Leveraging the SUGEC-led collaborative overseas platform under the Bureau, the project adopted a proven model of "overall management + technical support." SUGEC took full responsibility for personnel, equipment, site coordination, and contract performance management, drawing on its extensive experience in overseas project management. Huajian provided technical support, optimizing construction techniques and addressing key technical challenges. Once operational, the project will improve local industrial infrastructure, create jobs and increase incomes, deepen China-Mozambique cooperation in infrastructure and building materials, and provide valuable hands-on experience for Bureau units seeking to expand overseas together.

Building on its strong track record of contract performance and capabilities, SUGEC's Mozambique branch successfully secured the piling project for the Cumarela Oil Depot. On May 20, the team mobilized to the site and completed preparatory work, officially embarking on the next phase of construction.

The new project continues the established collaborative mechanism of the platform. SUGEC has full authority over overall coordination, site management, safety, schedule, and the provision of all personnel, equipment, and materials. Huajian provides technical support throughout the process, including solution optimization, technical problem-solving, and quality verification. The project involves 588 bored piles with a designed diameter of 800 mm, totaling over 20,000 linear meters. An environmentally friendly and efficient rotary drilling technique is being used, adapted to local geological and construction conditions.

From Nampula to Cumarela, SUGEC has continued to deepen its presence in the African market through its overseas platform, accumulating standardized cross-border construction and joint operation experience. The successive advancement of these two projects represents a powerful demonstration of SUGEC's efforts to build a collaborative overseas platform for units under the Bureau and lead systemic units in joint overseas expansion. It is also another major achievement resulting from the complementary strengths and mutually beneficial cooperation between SUGEC and Huajian.

Moving forward, SUGEC will continue to strengthen its overseas collaborative platform, integrate resources within the Bureau system, and deepen strategic cooperation with sister companies. Through high-quality projects, it will contribute to the Belt and Road Initiative, enhance the company's overseas brand image, and a new chapter of win-win cooperation between China and Africa.
